Receive your licence

The Driving School Course starts by filling up the required documents and paying the first installment, and ends with the last exam (there are 4 exams; the last one can be the First Aid or the Traffic exam),

after you have passed with all of your exams, please visit:

·National Transport Authority / Közlekedési Felügyelet Vizsgabizottsága.
·Address: 1119 Budapest, Petzvál József u.39. or

·National Transport Authority / Közlekedési Felügyelet Vizsgabizottsága.
·Address: 2013 Pomáz, Szmolnyica dűlő 059/16.

(You need to visit the one where you took your Theory exam.)

You must bring:

photo exam identification card,
personal identification (passport),
first aid exam pass certificate

·With your permission we can arrange it for you without your presence (2000HUF).
·At the National Transport Authority you'll receive a certificate.

With that certificate you need to apply for your driving licence at any Office for Administrative and Electronic Public Services (called "Okmányiroda").

·Central Office (Central Office for Administrative and Electronic Public Services) address: 1133 Budapest, Visegrádi u. 110-112, or
·any office all around Budapest.
·We can escort you there helping to arrange the administration, but your presence is necessary (4000HUF).

You must bring:

registration card and address card, or residence permit (with wite address card),
personal identification (passport),
medical exam certificate for the certain category,
National Transport Authority certificate

The 9 steps to get your licence.

1 Book your Driving School course

2 Complete the KRESZ (driving theory) course.

3 Pass your KRESZ exam

4 Complete the practical driving course.

5 First, pass VH (vehicle-handling) exam

6 Then: pass the traffic exam

7 Complete your first aid course

8 Pass the first aid exam

9 Receive your licence

Please note:

if you are not a Hungarian citizen you must have a valid registration card (with address card), or residence permit for at least 6 months before receiving the Hungarian driver licence. But for starting the course it is not necessary to have.
