KRESZ (driving theory) exam:

Who is eligible to take the KRESZ exam?

· who completed theory training, or is exempt from it

· who complies with road safety and medical requirements listed in the regulations

· who has finished at least the first 8 years of schooling (Elementary School),

· who is maximum 3 months younger than 17 years of age

· who has filled out the application and exam forms accordingly (bold frame and official statement), and has attached the following:

o One photo, size 35x45mm

o medical certificate of driving competency

· who has payed the theory course fee to the Driving School

· who has payed the exam fee

Location of theory exam: Budapest, XI. Petzvál József street 39. (Fővárosi Közlekedési Felügyelet Vizsgabizottsága)

Required Documents on the Theory Exam:

• ID or Passport (It must be valid, so check because it is not possible to take any exam with an expired ID or passport)

After the Theory Exam the National Transport Authority will provide you a pictured exam card. Take it with you on any further exams!

Practical driving tests:

Who is eligible to take the vehicle-handling exam?

· who passed the KRESZ exam
· who complies with road safety and medical requirements listed in the regulations
· who completed the mandatory number of training lessons (9) specified in the regulations

Required Documents on the VH Exam:

• ID or Passport (It must be valid, so check because it is not possible to take any exam with an expired ID or passport),
• Pictured Exam Card

Who is eligible to take the traffic exam?

· who passed the KRESZ exam and the VHexam
· who complies with road safety and medical requirements listed in the regulations
· who completed the mandatory number of main training lessons (20+1) specified in the regulations
